Ty J. Pryor

Ty J. Pryor is a real estate attorney in Holland & Knight's Orlando office. Mr. Pryor focuses his practice on Florida real estate brokerage law, homebuilding and land development, real estate finance and commercial leasing.

Mr. Pryor has an in-depth understanding of Chapter 475, Florida Statutes and the rules of the Florida Real Estate Commission. He advises brokerages, their principals and property owners on licensing, compensation and regulatory compliance. His work includes structuring commission, referral and co-brokerage arrangements, forming and launching new brokerages, and drafting listing and brokerage agreements. He also advises on licensing issues that arise in corporate transactions.

Mr. Pryor represents national and regional homebuilders in land and finished-lot acquisitions. He handles purchase agreements, assignments, amendments and land banking structures, and works with clients through closing.

Mr. Pryor also represents lenders in acquisition, refinance, modification and construction financing across a range of asset classes, including multifamily, retail, hospitality and mixed-use properties. He drafts and negotiates loan documents and coordinates closings, including multi-property and multistate transactions.

In his leasing practice, Mr. Pryor represents both tenants and landlords in negotiating leases, amendments, renewals, assignments and landlord consents.

In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Pryor is involved in several charities and groups dedicated to assisting veterans. His dedication to these organizations is driven by his six years' experience as a U.S. Army cryptologic linguist, with a specialization in Russian language and military intelligence.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. Pryor was involved in lender-focused real estate financing and large-scale multi-property transactions.
