Jiyeon K. Barta

Jiyeon K. Barta advises private equity funds and their portfolio companies, private and public companies and family-owned businesses on the corporate and federal income tax aspects of corporate transactions, private equity transactions, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and financing matters. A tax attorney in Holland & Knight's Orlando office, she structures taxable and tax-free transactions to support each client's deal objectives.

Jiyeon's role extends beyond structuring to the deal documents themselves. She negotiates acquisition agreements, operating agreements, representation and warranty policies and other transaction agreements, and she advises on other tax issues relating to M&A and reorganizations.
